19. Safeguarding Everybody’s Everyday Business – BEYOND the Basics - 21st November 2024
Overview: This online study session caters to individuals providing support to case managers rather than those currently holding the CM title. It is tailored for those who feel assured in their understanding of safeguarding principles and have faced scenarios requiring thoughtful consideration and responsive action in their professional experiences.
36. STUDY DAY - Sex, Disability and the Law - 22nd November 2024 - London
Overview: Do you support adults with disabilities? Are you a solicitor, care manager, policy writer, work within case management - or a healthcare professional striving to meet your clients' needs while adhering to the law? If so, attending this study day is essential for you.
This study day will debate and look at the legal challenges and interpretation of the law to give clarity and deeper understanding around the engagement and facilitation of sex workers. We will also be hearing from a neuro psychologist specialising in TBI, A psychosexual therapist Specialising in SCI, A pioneer in sex, intimacy coaching and partner surrogacy, A psychosexual supervisor specialising in complex care needs within their care teams. The legal stance taken is that assisting a vulnerable person to engage the services of a sex worker will require a change in the law. Let’s look at the interpretation of this ruling with the expertise of a Barrister and human rights lawyer to gain more clarity.

20. Level 3 - Safeguarding – Adults and CYP - 26th November 2024 - FULLY BOOKED
Overview: This certified course is suitable for Case Managers, Rehab Professionals, Specialist Care Providers and for others who work in similar roles within the ABI / Spinal Injury Sector to gain essential level 3 training in this important area of work. There would be an expectation from regulators / commissioners that staff who work at this level have attended a full day level 3 training at least once every 3 years.
21. Level 4 - Safeguarding Adults and Children - 27th & 28th November 2024 - FULLY BOOKED
Overview: This is a 2 day workshop which aims to develop Level 4 knowledge, skills and competencies for safeguarding children and adults at risk so that participants can undertake the roles and responsibilities for taking a lead safeguarding role within their organisation. It will be predominantly aimed at those working in Case Management, Rehabilitation and Specialist Care agencies who work with clients with ABI/Spinal Injuries. This course is aligned to the Bournemouth Competency Framework and the Inter Collegiate Document (both available on request).

Overview: Join us for an insightful webinar focused on the pivotal role of clinical exercise within multidisciplinary teams (MDTs). We will explore the aims and benefits of incorporating clinical exercise into patient care, alongside the challenges that may arise during integration.
The session will conclude with a Q&A, providing an opportunity for participants to engage with an expert and discuss real-world applications of the concepts presented. 37. STUDY DAY - Management for Managers Part 1- 6th February 2025 - LONDON
This study day is designed not only for self employed Case Managers, but also Case Managers support teams, such as Office Managers, CM Assistants, HR Managers, Finance, and more.
The morning session focuses on key aspects of business structure and protection for case management teams, comparing the benefits of employing case managers directly versus using associates to identify the best approach for various business models. Topics include essential strategies for business protection, compliance with employment law and IR35, and understanding the impact of CQC regulations when clients directly employ care teams. Additionally, participants will examine the advantages and challenges of directly employed teams versus agency staff and receive practical advice on team management. The session concludes with a Q&A to address specific attendee questions.
The afternoon session, led by Teresa Clark of The Wellness Revolution, centers on cultivating a culture of wellbeing within organizations. This interactive session emphasises the importance of employee wellbeing, mental health, and neurodiversity for a successful business, offering strategies to improve productivity, performance, and retention. Highlights include understanding legal responsibilities related to mental health, identifying and managing stress and burnout, fostering psychological safety, and creating a comprehensive wellbeing and inclusion strategy. Attendees will gain skills to support team members, enhance their own resilience, and build a cohesive, inclusive work environment. Each participant will also receive a booklet with practical resources, including policy templates, guides, and best practices for fostering a culture of wellbeing at work.
