Directions to the venue are simple, whether you're arriving by tube or taxi, making it a convenient and accessible choice for all attendees.

CMSUK are excited and looking forward to this year’s Celebration & Awards Lunch.  The event will applaud the invaluable work that Case Managers and valued industry partners do in a constantly changing, but nevertheless growing, industry.

We are excited to announce that Darren Edwards, the World’s Leading Adaptive Adventurer, Record-Breaking Explorer and Inspirational Speaker, will provide a key note talk and present the 2025 Awards.

Darren Edwards is the World’s Leading Adaptive Adventurer, Record-Breaking Explorer, and Inspirational Speaker.

Darren Edwards has faced life’s greatest uncertainties head-on, drawing from his experience leading record-breaking expeditions and overcoming a life-changing injury. Speaking with unmatched authority and authenticity, he shares how to conquer fear and thrive in the face of challenges. With a natural gift for storytelling, Darren captivates audiences by blending inspiration with practical insights, offering real-world solutions to even the most daunting obstacles - all grounded in his extraordinary personal journey.

Today, Darren is renowned as a record-breaking Adaptive Adventurer and Inspirational Speaker who has shattered perceptions of what individuals with disabilities can achieve. From pushing the boundaries of endurance by becoming the first person with a disability to complete seven marathons in seven days across seven continents in a wheelchair, to leading ground-breaking expeditions such as kayaking the length of Great Britain and sit-skiing across Antarctica to the South Pole, Darren's accomplishments are nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Here are some inspiring words from Darren:

”Learn to look to the future and not the past” those were the words of advice from the surgeon after he delivered the heartbreaking news that I’d broken my back and sustained what is known as a ‘complete’ Spinal Cord Injury - meaning I’d be parslysed from the chest down for the rest of my life. Initially, I couldn’t understand the importance and power of what he’d just said (I was still reeling from the vision of spending the rest of my life in a wheelchair). But, as the days and weeks passed by, I started to appreciate his words and turned my head to look toward the future for the first time - a future where I could still be ‘me’, albeit in a different way. So, the next time you face a setback and/or adversity, make sure your head is pointed in the right direction…forward.

Adversity into Achievement

Are you connected to a charity doing remarkable work? Or perhaps you're part of one that deserves to be recognised for its outstanding efforts? As a charity ourselves, CMSUK understands the challenges of creating meaningful change. That’s why we want to shine a spotlight on the incredible contributions of charities that are making a real difference.

This award is dedicated to those organisations that go above and beyond to improve lives, especially over the past year. If you know a charity that has been truly exceptional, we want to hear from you!

We’re inviting nominations from our members and the public for charities that have demonstrated excellence, resilience, and impact. Whether it’s through direct work with individuals, innovative research, or impactful fundraising efforts, we want to hear about the difference your charity has made.

Tell us how your charity has stayed true to its mission, turned challenges into opportunities, and transformed lives along the way. Share the stories of how you’ve made Adversity into Achievement, and how your charity’s message is changing the world for the better.

Let's celebrate the unsung heroes of the charity world together!
